Plumas Crafts
Plumas Crafts is a small woodworking shop run by a retired engineer turned furniture maker. After 33 years with a large metals producer John Lullo retired to Plumas County in 2001 from the Bay Area. Although he has been making fine furniture for over 30 years the current focus is on combining natural shapes and textures found in the forest with the usual commercial materials to produce a line of original rustic furnishings.
The main workshop is in Clio, just outside Graeagle, California.
Each piece is individually hand crafted… The design is suggested by the shape and species of wood available at the time. The species used are primarily Jeffrey and ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, cedar, aspen, manzanita, and other native woods found in the forests of Plumas County California. We offer all sizes of tables, plus chairs, stools, hand mirrors, planter boxes, bird houses, benches and many other specialty items.
Usually, at least two weeks are required to deliver a single piece, depending on the complexity and the order backlog. Special orders and custom designs are possible based on time and complexity.
