~A CENTER FOR COLLABORATIVE CREATION IN OUR COMMUNITY~
Plumas Arts is fielding an opportunity to develop a makerspace in downtown Quincy!
A makerspace is a collaborative workspace that provides equipment and technology for creative projects. It could be a wonderful way to have a communal space for creation, available to those who need studio space or access to supplies and equipment. Ideally, membership would imply 24hr availability to the workspace, based on demand.
It could also serve as a space to hold workshops or classes for a wide array of creative pursuits.
The space would be primarily membership and, hopefully, grant funded.
Plumas Arts would help to facilitate a space that is envisioned, created, and run by the members themselves!
This idea is in the earliest stages of development. We are currently exploring community support and input to understand if we have a shot at making this space a reality!
Step 1: Collect data from the survey below to gauge initial interest
Step 2: Host a community forum on Thursday November, 16th @5:30pm in the Plumas Arts Gallery
located at 525 Main Street in Quincy
