Sierra Blanton Rader was raised in Quincy with a deep love for art and music, and found passion as a singer and songwriter. She moved to the Central Coast where she was able to showcase and collaborate my singing and songwriting, and eventually moved to Nashville where she lived for 5 years soaking up as much music and art as she could. Sierra recently moved back to Quincy with her now husband, where they are raising their son, Reece, who was born in 2021.
Sierra currently sit as the Executive Director for the Plumas District Hospital Foundation, where her passion for non-profit and healthcare meet. She is also the co-creator of an Event Styling business, Stevie James, where she feels fortunate to have a creative outlet and bring my love for art through many different events. Sierra's mission as a Board Director for Plumas Arts, is to ensure this community and its members, young and old, always have access and support to one of life’s greatest languages, art. |
Originally from the East Coast, Liz Swindell fell in love with Plumas County after college and spent her 20’s traveling back and forth. While pursuing a career in Art Education in Vermont, Liz spent her summer breaks based in Quincy where she painted, explored the vast and beautiful landscapes, and developed lasting friendships. In 2021, Liz made the full time move to Plumas County and opened Wild Pines, an artisanal boutique curated to celebrate local makers and brands from around the country. She finds joy in lifting up artists and encouraging them to share their creativity with the world.
When not at the shop, Liz can be found on a bike or hiking trail, often with a small watercolor set in tow or in town enjoying a community event. |
Lynn Dow joined the Board in Summer 2023 and is very pleased to be part of an organization promoting the arts in a county that she is passionate about.
Lynn was raised and educated in the Bay Area and then spent 20 years in Sonoma County where she raised her three children. She spent those years as an baker and owner, along with husband and family, of a natural foods wholesale business serving the greater Bay Area. In 2003, the family moved to Plumas County to open and run the bakery in Feather River Natural Food Coop for 18 years. Lynn is now retired with interests including travel, hiking, biking, and other outdoor adventures. She knows how important it is to have some form of creative expression. For Lynn It includes foods, gardening, and fibers. She feels it is important for the community members to be inspired to find that expression and for Plumas Arts to make that available through educational opportunities and the presence of a variety of arts in our communities. |
