Alithea Garcia-Romero hails from an artistic, articulate, talented and very funny family which includes opera singers, cabaret performers, punk rockers, writers, academics and fashionistas.

This Bay Area transplant relocated to Sierra County one year ago and combines wit, tragedy, satire and whimsical fun in all of her novelty songs. She has studied improvisational theater at San Francisco State University and has performed her songs in venues such as the Mill Valley's Sweetwater Cafe & Marin County's 'The Rhubarb Review', Berkeley's Cup of Tea, San Francisco's Comedy Club Workshops and Santa Fe's Cowgirl Hall O' Fame.

She currently enjoys living in the forest with her pint-sized dog, Riley, who valiantly wards off the mountain lions and other assorted wildlife.

Open stage (which might be called open mike, but there is no microphone) follows the featured set. Any aspiring poets, musicians, storytellers, actors or performers are encouraged to sign up at the door for a 5 to 7 minute time slot. All music performances must be acoustic only. Original work is encouraged, but not required.
